What is the cost?

Our cost is dependent on various factors: the location of the event, travel costs, accommodation, package required etc. Feel free to get in touch with us and we will send you a tailored quote with all the information you need.

Are instructions for the ceilidh dances explained?

Yes! The members of the band are very experienced in calling ceilidh dances. All dances will be explained with clear instructions and demonstrations if required to ensure a fun and inclusive night for everyone. We have lots of experience delivering ceilidhs with international audiences so language is no barrier.

For the more experienced crowd, if the dancers already know what they are doing we can go straight into the dancing with no time wasted.

Does Skara Ceilidh Band perform outside Scotland?

We are happy to travel anywhere to perform! Each member in the band has toured extensively around the world in their career as a professional musician. We are experienced with international audiences, and perform all over the world.

Does the band bring their own sound and lighting equipment?

We are self sufficient and bring our own high quality PA system and lights. All of our equipment is fully PAT tested.

How long does it take to set up the equipment?

We require at least one hour to set up our equipment prior to the performance, making it discreet as possible.

Is the line-up always the same?

We pride ourselves on our professional and energetic approach to ceilidh dancing and music and strive to produce a high quality service with the top musicians here in Scotland. If members in the band are unable to make it, they will be replaced by a musician of the highest quality and experience.

Does the band have Public Liability Insurance?

Yes, we have PLI Insurance provided through the Musician’s Union.
